quickest way to find answers like this is to search.

There isnt any question that anyone could ask that hasnt already been answered on here.

Lately i've noticed that a lot of easy questions go unanswered because the "veterans" if you will of this site get tired of the same old same old. Theres quite a few guys on here that know tons of stuff about these trucks that i havnt seen on here in a long time, let alone post on threads.

I just installed a set of 100 horse sticks from Farm Boys Diesel and I'm real happy with 'em. Truck idles great and you can really feel a difference when on the skinny pedal. Not to mention Gus is real down to Earth and not lookin to pay the rent off one sale.
Just my 2cents.

My DDP's idle way better than the old Jammers did. I can't comment on power, as I was way overfueled before I did the injector swap, but they run great.

Heres a vote for F1 Diesel Mach 4's. With that Adrenaline you will get that engine glowing hot with a stock turbo and these sticks. Keep the box low and drive responsably and you might be O.K. or just get yourself a shiny new turbo and shoot for 500hp!!!

Im sure they dont mind, they probably get a tickle when they get a chance to spread their knowledge Besides, every person is running a different setup, so some injectors aren't ideal for certain setups, looking through search in 1000 different posts with "injectors" is a pain in the ***, especially if you're looking for a similar setup in a truck. Just my .02, take it for what it's worth, lol.

X2, whats your goal? thats gonna depend on what your gonna want for a stick, do you have any gauges? do you have any transmission upgrades? get your fuel system and other key items taken care of 1st before you add power, just dont be like me and have purchased an honest 4 set of injectors? I should have stopped when I hit 496hp.

On the "do a search" thing:

I can see how some get tired of answering the same question repeatedly.

But part of what makes DTR different is the way we welcome new people and help them get up to speed the same way someone once took US in and let US know what was going on. None of us was born knowing this stuff-- we all had to learn it as we went, from people who were patient enough to teach.

It's my hope that all of us would be similarly patient, no matter how many times a question has been asked.

I try to find the unanswered threads that I can help if it's something I know a little about. I don't enjoy re-typing the same things over and over, but I think of how frustrating the "search" feature can be to use (it's somewhat "dumbed down" imo).

True, we've covered almost every conceivable topic here at one point or another, especially now that 2nd gen trucks are getting long in the tooth.

The fact that the info is here doesn't mean it's accessible.

How would you feel if you walked into a car dealership and instead of answering your question about a car, the salesman grabbed a brochure and said "here-- do a search"??

**BREAK**

CK9797--

Almost any injector size can be run. You can run Mach 6s with a stock turbo, but it's a waste because you'll not get to use that last 40% of the loud pedal or so without melting something or exploding that poor stock turbo.

Set a power goal based on how much you're willing to spend and your use of the truck. I'll write up a separate thread on the pros/cons of different power levels for VP trucks.

As well as the time limit between each search makes it a pain.
