Injector Question (First Post)

Hi ya'll, This is my first post here, just joined but been lurking for a while. So I guess I should post sometime right? Anyway, my birthday is coming up, and my girlfriend wants to know what I want. She said if you could have one part for your truck, what would you want? She already knows!! I really want injectors and have been eyeing the stg. 2 jammers, but would jumping up to stg. 3's hurt me that bad? I'm looking for some more power,& maybe a little bit better fuel mileage(when I'm not killing it!). I've had everyone tell me to stay around 80hp injectors for the best of both worlds-power & mileage. But being that the stg 3's are just a little bit of money more for 25 or so more hp, should i just get the stg 3's, or stay the stg 2's? The truck rarely pulls a trailer, and if it does it's usually pretty lightweight(quads, or an XJ Trail buggy). Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Later,
Tommy

whats your fuel pressure psi? how high do the EGTs get to? whats your tranny temp sitting at? if you cant answer these because you dont have gauges then you will want to invest in them first

i went stage 5's. i didnt want to buy twice as you'll find yourself wanting MORE!!! if youre teeter-tottering over 2's and 3's, go with the 3's.

but get those gauges....

The stage 3 would be the best of your choices. As for the milage boost its hard to say, if your gettin the whole injector not just the tip you should see some if your driving habbits are good. Usually when you first get a power upgrade you wont see any mpg gains beacuase you will be driving it different( foot to the floor). If you dont have a real tight budget, id say go with the ach 1.6, they will get you good power and a bump in milage. Thats what those were desighned for.

You wont want to go much over 100hp unless you have some tranny mods either or you be breakin it.

I got full guages. Sorry my sig don't have it in there. My EGT's never climb over 1200 on a long pull. Boost stays at about 16 psi. My boost seems to have dropped since I put the power puck on, maybe a boost leak? I'll have to check. The fuel pressure takes a dip to about 3.5 psi. on a hard pull, but it's been like that since I put in the new lift pump(in tank), and VP44 last year(about 12k mi ago). The truck gets driven pretty easy, in fact, my girlfriend drives it daily, and she drives like my grandma! I know the fuel pressure is low if I'm thinking about injectors, thats why I ordered a Holley black pump today.
Thanks,
Tommy

Check for a boost leak in the rubber boots or the gasket on the intake horn 2 gaskets acually. Did you install a j hook or turnbuckle to your waste gate when you put on the power puck? If not do a search for them on here.

The only happy customers that order Jammer nozzles get either 3's or 5's. The rest of them are either too small or too small. You will want a bigger turbo if you get 5's. 3's will be ok if you are a smart driver that keeps an eye on temp gauges. Once you turnbuckle your wastegate, be sure to not overspeed your turbo. If you are making more than 30 PSI with that small HY 35, you are overspeeding it.
