Injector line broke
Anyone ever break one of these? #4 died today and started shoot diesel all over the place. I assume it was fatigued but I am not sure it was from me removing the lines all the time or what.

didnt break that one but I did brake the one from the fuel filter to the injection pump. This line is a some what normal failure. I would just replace it with a new one. There should be a tag on it that has the cummins part number.

I've never broken one but know a few people who have by swapping injectors without following proper procedure and removing the lines totally. Have also seen the passage though a line get kinked and partially blocked, causes a hard to diagnose miss or knock.
The lines are hardened steel, would you expect the blade of your knife to bend back and forth much before it breaks?
Hold your breath, the lines aren't cheap.

I found replacement line already for free from a UPS mechanic who had some around the shop. It broke in kind of an odd place too. I figured maybe it would break on a bend or on the end of a nut but this one broke an inch from the injector nut.
