Injector Install

I recently purchased a set of used DPP 150hp injectors. What all do I need to get as far as o-rings to install these. I would imagine I also need new copper washers? Do I need to get these washers from DDP or are their injectors designed to work with stock thickness washers? Thanks.

First off, you need to have them tested before you install them, if they havent been, the only reason i'm telling you this is I have a $500.00 set of cores on my shelf because i bought them used!!! They are also DDP 150's, I had them tested after i got them and there all BAD...it was not from someone on this site but another site, wont go there.... so unless they came with paperwork that they were tested and what the psi's were i would not install them!!!!! Once you have that done, your local diesel shop or dealer can get you the orings to go on the tubes and the copper washers to go on the injectors!! I will never buy another set of used injectors, these were "just taken out of the truck and ran great!!" Well one has a stuck nozzle, and i was told if i would have installed them i would have burned that hole up!!! Just my .02

Thanks for the info. I wouldn't thought of having them tested before installing them. Luckily, he sent me a receipt from a shop that pop tested them a couple of weeks ago. In addition to the testing he hasn't had them very long (according to the receipt) and he said he's only put 830 miles on them. He told me they were just too big for his set up and he couldn't tow with them.

Kenworth.. Are you running your stock turbo??
If you are, I hope your next mod is turbo cause the stock one will be way to small for the Juice AND 150 sticks.

But killer you got those sticks. I cant wait to get some. Hopefully puttin in some BOSCH 300's tomorrow from a buddy that just swapped in 150's. Just came back from gettin tested at GOFF diesel injectoin and good to go!

Copper washers should be replaced. Can get them at Cummins or any place that sells stuff for Cummins. The o-rings on the connector tubes aren't neccesary unless you get a leak there. For their size, they aren't cheap, and they are reusable several times.

Yes my next mod will be a turbo. Right now I'm trying to figure out what size turbo would be a good match. I'm thinking a 62mm with 65/12 exhaust side would be good. Not sure about a 71/14 or a 71/13 (if there is such a beast)?

I would go for the 71mm turbine myself. Spool up is still good, with more top end heat control. I've ran both a 62 and a 64mm and both spool very well. The 64mm in 5th gear will make 15psi at 1600 rpm. Its a Super B Special, not an II/HTT unit.

I think a 62/65/14 would be pretty good. Alot of people like a 62/71/14. I dont have experiance with a 71 but I can say for sure go 14cm exhaust side. Makes a big dif on egt's.
The 71 would def give you room to go bigger though.
Ive noticed up here at 4,200 ft that alot of guys run big chip and bigger sticks and get by very well with 62/65/14.
Just my .02.

I'm also at 4000ft or so. How much slower will a 14 spool compared to a 12 or 13? Thanks. Would a 14 still be ok on an auto. I have a torque converter that stalls 300rpm lower than stock if that will make much of a difference.
