Injection Pump Problem.......

So how to make a long story short? My injection pump started leaking real bad a few weeks ago and it's to big a project for me to do on my own so i had a shop rebuilt it. I got i back on Thursday and it was running great. I parked it and after about 3 hours came back and had trouble starting it. Had to put my foot to the floor to get it started. Then today i couldn't get it to start at all. it turns over fine sand sounds like its about to start but dies before it can get going. i blead all the injectors and fuel is coming through them. the fuel filter is new and there are no fuel leaks. Any ideas as to the problem?

Also...... Sometimes when i turn the key off the engine dose not shut down for 2-5 seconds. Maybe this is a linked problem?

btw its a 91' 1 ton

You're sucking air in somewhere, I think. I very small amount of air pressure in the fuel tank will help you locate your problem. My money is on the fuel heater gasket since you just changed the filter.

Or lift pump. They always fail as soon as the pump is working properly again

Could be the fuel shutoff solenoid too. Especially since its not shutting down right away. It will still let fuel go to the injectors if its not working, but not ebough to pop them.
