Injection Cleaners
Are there any respectable Fuel Injection Cleaners out there? I don't have any problems, and want to make sure these stay as clean as I can make them. I have heard that most are a waste of money, and I really don't want to spend money on junk or on something that can harm my engine.

Dealers sometimes use a liquid cleaner called "sea foam" and dump it into the filter and run the engine about 2 minutes and then shut it off. They use it to free up and clean out the varnish stuff.
Google it, it's not too expensive and works on all kinds of injectors, gas and diesel alike.

Well, dumping in the whole thing is correct but "romping on it" needs to be thought about.
The whole idea is to get it warmed up, drop the filter, add the whole pint of cleaner to the filter and fire it up. Fast idle is fine, 1200-1500 rpm will do and after 2 mins, shut it downa and let it soak for awhile. An hour later fire it up and drive it. The higher rpm will flow the injectors and hopefully clean out whatever is gummed up in there.
A friend of mine just last week had issues driving from Northern California to Southern California Desert area and had to stop at a dealer because it dropped cylinders, ran rough and threw codes. (Don't know what they were.) And the dealer did exactly what I'm telling you to do, and charged him something like $360.00 !! Yikes. They put one pint in the filter and the other in the tank. He said it was like magic and it ran flawless all the way back home.

Just a thought.
I use wally worlds 2cycle TCW-3 oil at the rate of 2/3 oz per gallon to increase the lub for the injectors and CP3.
I read the fine print on the jug and it said "removes carbon deposits". Of course this is in a gasoline mix at 50:1 in two cycle engines.
Maybe, just maybe it removes carbon from the injectors. If it does, this would be a good.

I wouldn't use Sea Foam in anything, not even my lawnmower. Dealers don't use that junk. If you want a good injector cleaner the only one that I have used that has worked on gassers is BG 44k. They also have a diesel injector cleaner. I have never used it though. As was stated above, your best cleaner is to use good quality diesel and work your truck as it was intended to do. The best thing is this is free.

Last time I was at the dealer they said this is the best stuff according to the Cummins rep. It is cheap too, this bottle will do three tanks.
