i was wondering if anybody on here could tell me what came with my truck from factory( looking to see if it came with keyless entry). Also what service has been done to it. Vin is 3b7kf236016743614. It is a 2001 extended cab 4x4 CTD

Go to a dealer parts department. Ask for the build sheet printout. It has everything that was put into your truck at the factory.

Do dealers charge for that info?

They shouldn't. I had a buddy at the dealership do it for me. Just ask nicely.

yeah i called them and my truck did not come with keyless entry and i asked them how much it would cost to get the kit. They told me 40 dollers for the harness and 175 for the module. That sounded rediculus to me so i said thank you and hung up. I think he was quoting me for door lock actuaters and everything else but i am not sure

$40 + $175 dont sound that bad to me.
+ labor charge too though.

maybe or it could be that i am just cheap. But i am going to go to the junk yard and find what i need
