Info on installing brake pads on 03 dually

Hey, I am wanting to save some money and replace the brake pads myself. Is it a complicated job? Should I go with OEM pads? Thanks for any info. David

No it's not a difficult job. The OEM pads seem to last at little longer than the aftermarket. At least on our service trucks they do.

Talking A tip for first timers.

Jack the rear end, both sides off the ground, take both wheels off, both sides. Only change one side at a time, so you always have a visable reference to look at if something doesnt quite look right on restall. Our brakes are much easier than they used to be. Drums had springs that were a bear for those without the right tools. Needle nose pliers have ruined more than one persons day!!
