Fuel Pump??
Fuel Pump??
Which setup should I go with, just not sure. FASS 150, Walbro, RASP, Mitusa, etc. Maybe I can get some input to help make this decision a little easier. I am looking for eventually being 600rwhp+ out of my 2005 Cummins 610 6spd. nv5600. Just want a good reliable product, but not sure if the more expensive ones are necassryily the best ones. Hopefully we know in a little while. Thanks for your help.
This is going to start a brand war on "who is the best"....LOL.
They are all fine products and will do the job. The Wallbro and FASS are electric pumps and the MITUSA and RASP are mechanical. So if you have a personal preference for mechanical vs electrical....that may help narrow it down.

I'll throw my .02 in here as a user and a vendor. I ran the RASP for a year and it worked flawlessly. DTT puts out a kick butt product. Don't know if it's available for the '05 but a quick phone call will answer that one for you.
I carry the the Walbro kits and run one on my '03 now but I don't have the kits ready for '05-'06 trucks yet.
Don't know anything about the Mitusa but from what I've heard Opie put out top notch products.
The FASS is available right now (if your in a hurry) and user seem to like them. That may help your decision right there. Rip at Source Automotive or Mark at DPPI would be able to set you up in a hurry.

I got the BD bypass lift pump kit. installs easy, all parts are included, great instructions, the only part that I didnt like but had to do what tap 3 1/4"x20 hole in the frame rail. even the wiring harness plugs into the oem connector at the factory l/p connection.

L8r,............dogger
it is a carter, 100 gph. i only here it until the truck starts, it is basically mounted just below my seat. cant really hear it, and i am not too worried about it without a muffler, and the pacbrake is considerably louder than the BD pump.
If you go with the Bd pump it's okay, but say your stock lift pump dies and the vanes block the flow....SOL! Mechanical rasp and mitusi are solid units and engineering wise the best but require alot of part matching/figuring and not easy for yuppies to add to their trucks. Also they both still work with the stock lift pump I believe? Fass is a easy install, right out of the box, pricey with the filters, but still electrical pump. Walboro and carter pumps are also electrical and require extra parts. Forget about the warranty issue since low volume/fuel pressure will kill the cp3 and injectors eventually so whats the point? I won't even start on how important it is to filter the fuel for the bosch high pressure common rail system
. What ever you decide get a fuel pressure gauge first and seriously think about a 2-3 micron fuel filter

this could be the case if you run the pump in series but bd also makes a kit that eliminates the stock pump.

i bought the lp replacement kit, $264 from BD, includes all hoses, clamps, bolts, screws, wiring, lp adapter plate(machined from al) o-rings, and fittings. the factory L/P goes in the trash. so no sol there.
