i know the 12 valves slap in a gov spring kit and that raises the rpm limit

what does it on the 24 valves


and another thing

i have a drag comp and smarty stack but havent really played with it cause im not sure about the timing advance deal with these two stacked. i know you can only use the timing on one or the other

any tips

That stuff on the VP is electronically controlled. A programmer/box that eliminates the factory defueling will get you some more rpm.

what if you wanted a lot more like can you get a 24 valve to spin past 4000 with not too much modifacation

FYI... you do not want to spin close to 4 k without upgraded valve springs or the pistons will help close the valves.

i know that obviusly but thank you for your info. I am just curios how it would be done not what you need to keep the head together

i would obviously upgrade needed parts to sustain the higher rpm but what do you need to get it to rev that high

It's pretty much all in the electronics really (mechanical issues with the engine aside). There are several options: Blue Chip Redline box, RAD (can't remember who makes it) Quadzilla Adrenaline with some tunes; and there may be others. You won't get much past 4k though as the VP44 can't supply enough fuel from what I've been told.

The Smarty with the new REVO software can raise the limit to 4,000. You can also change the speed limiter.

The vp44 is pretty much maxed out at 4000 rpm. If your wanting to rev past that and still make power, you'll need a p-pump.
