I'm done!!!

Well, I guess I'm done with the diesel business, and am completely getting out of the truck. It's getting a totally stock complete engine swapped in and I'm selling all of my parts. I had a bad, bad, trip down to houston, TX last weekend and I'm just done with the truck. I've realized you can't have two hotrods and expect one to be reliable as a daily driver, much less a tow vehicle. After 5 blown turbos, 3 blown clutches, a headgasket, and now an entire rotating assembly.... I've decided to get a Denali. The truck will be returned to stock and traded in. Too bad considering I just put all the SRT truck front end on it and the new Mickey Thompson tires. It looks GOOD, but I know I can't drive a stock diesel...

Soooooo, you are going to drive a stock Denali instead?

Your mods list is extensive and quite impressive. I would imagine you are correct sir, you cannot have a truck that is that heavily modified and expect it to perform like one that is equipped and driven as it was originally designed and intended to.

No offense of course.

Yup, if I'm going to drive a stock vehicle, it's going to be the nicest one I can afford that will still tow a little something... I keep telling myself that I won't put a procharger on the Denali though....LOL

Geez man,

I'd just back off the hot rodding a little and use it more for towing. That truck is too good looking to just let it go.

Yeah, I know... It'll be a sad day, but honestly I'm completely burnt out. It'll make someone a good looking stock truck.... With Ladder bars...lol

Yep, know the feeling. I love my truck and having it sit in a garage for 16 weeks last year made me decide that any race truck won't be a daily driver. I'd rather drive my truck than just mod it and have it parked most of the time. IF you heavily mod it you gotta realize it will have some down time. ks

Judging by your sig, you can't leave anything alone. I bet your lawnmower is sitting at at least 100hp.......

Sorry to hear about your issues.

uh-huh and I can hear the phone call already about the procharger wiping out the tranny and transfer and you needing the Denali and supra towed home. Wish I could afford the truck. But the state would frown on me discontinueing child support to buy a truck. Let me know if you need to use my car trailer or need the car towed to the track. I'll probably be there at the first shootout next month anyway.

I'm posting these pics of my car at the track because we had to borrow an old FORD to get us there. Notice my new 46ft enclosed in the background that is COMPLETELY coated in nice Delo400/Diesel fuel mixture. I can't wait to clean it up

Puked oil everywhere, covering truck, trailer, and the buddy's car following us, lost oil pressure, spun rod bearing(s).... That's really all I know at this point. I know I spent 6hrs on the side of I-45 covered head to toe in Diesel oil. But I gave up after 2 hrs and started drinking beer!

I'll get some good pics of it all when I get it back. It's still in Houston... I rented a car and drove home and had a buddy with a FORD go get the trailer.... Darn reliable 7.3's
