Im angry at dodge and need some help on doing my own maintance
Today I took my 05 in to get the oil changed and the tires rotated. The truck has 7K on it so the service guy recomended doing the 7500 mile service witch was exactly what I was gona do but they were also gona re blance the tires and lube the chassy.
Well I braught my own oil in cause i Have no idea what the heck they put in there diesels heck they did not even know the brand etc other than the weight. Well I get a bill of a wopping $116 dollars and I was was quoted 115 and they were saposed to take off the oil charge off that. So I paid then took the paper work to the service guy and was like hey *** is with this price etc. He relizes they did not take the money off for using my own oil but it was never charged on the reciet the SOB"s added it to the labor cost upset i asked politly to settle the miss charge and he gave me a 30 dollar credit towards my next service casue it was to much of a pain to redew all the paper work over etc and make the changes.
sorry for the Rant NOW MY ? is
Can somebody show me a picture of what and where I need to lube up on the chassy and what lube, oil to use and best tool to use as well. Tie rod ends and zerk fitting and what ever has to be lubbed on the driveshaft. I now refuse to take my truck back to the dealer for basic maintance and will only take it back for major service that i cannot performe. Man they rob us at the pump for diesel and rob us at the dealer for service
Thanks for reading my rant and thanks to all that reply

Thats MR Hoss to you buddy!
I think the only lube points are the end of the tie rods. Everything else is sealed.
By the way, you should have made them give the difference back to you instead of giving you a $30 credit for next time. Since you don't plan on going back, you just lost yourself $30.

I paid $122 for my 7500 mile maintenance. They messed up the rear simulators (metal band that keeps tension on the fingers). Had to remove and repair them. The oil filter loosened up 4K miles after the change, leaked oil all over the place. Glad I caught that in the driveway. Filter was hand tight. They didn't even do tire pressures while rotating the tires. The truck made its first and last trip for dealer maintenance. Warranty only from now on.

As mentioned there are only two grease zerks. You can go to any auto parts store and buy a cheap grease gun and a cartridge of grease. With only two zerks it'll last a while.
Get a oil filter wrench, I prefer one with a folding handle to get in the tight spots.
Geno's garage has an oil/fuel/air filter package that is reasonably priced, and you'll be set for filters for the next 30K.

You can get a service manual from Geno's also.
