II Twins and BD Twins for towing

I have been trying to make up my mind on what set of twins to go with for towing. I installed a HT super stocker 62 last year and it runs and cools good but it is just not where I feel comfortable with some of the temps at times.

I am in process of trying different modules, downloaders and pressure boxes. I ran the TST (less than 5000) with a ramifier and it was pretty good. I am running bully dog with a diable puck at present. I bought a new van aaken 3.2 to install with this but it was DOA so it was sent back. Considering the scary larry but have heard that it is hard to run on a 6 speed standard tranny. I am in the process of buying an PPE hot, an MP-8 and a Dr. Performance stage 3 to try some new combos.

I would like to hear from users out there that have used one or the other twin setups or even both to tell me how they ran as well as what power adders they used to get good results.

My BD twins have been good. Only issues are the occasional small oil leaks. Spool fast, and no need to tune. As far as what power combos to run, run what you like.

Dually.......I took the BD route and I'm very pleased with the performance both street and towing. The BD twins are not the biggest HP producers but for my use they are perfect. I chose the Smarty for a downloader and currently running the beta version hot...
Towing 11k lbs with the Smarty on 5 (90hp) on some good grades I would see 1100f max, on the flat cruising 650-700f. Those are pretty respectable #'s for a 3rd gen.
These turbo's lite real fast, and make the six speed easy to drive.......On the rollers I made 491hp and 1100+ torque i would say these turbo's could handle more fuel to get the hp numbers up.

They fit real nice, sound good and perform flawlessly...........there are lots of options however the BD twins have been around and engineered to work. A couple other users here run the BD twins and are pretty happy.
If you want to make big power you may want to look at a larger set of twins.

I had been eyeballing the BD twins for a while more than the others as to the fact that they are easy running with little tuning and perform great for towing. Also price is another thing about them being about a grand less than II or other options out there.

IF i am correct they are a 4" outlet and I will not have to redo my exhaust system as with the other are 5" and either reducer 5" all the way out. Just wanting to get the best bang for the buck for dependibility since this is my work ride and money maker.

Thanks for you info.
