Idle rpm change, morening start up?

When I first start my truck in the morening (little colder weather) the idle cycles from 800 to 850 rpm. Is this just a warm up feature like a computer control choke?

It stops in about 5 minutes after it warms up.

I think it's more like the grid heaters cycling on and off dragging down the RPM'S. Goes away when you reach the right intake temp.
