Where do I look for identity tag or another way to tell an NV5600 from a G56?

NV5600 Reverse is up to the right, It is cast iron cased
G56 Reverse is down to the left,it is aluminium cased

The NV5600 body is cast iron and will have a rust color and an "NVG" embossed on the side of it.

I second the shift pattern thing. Thats how I checked them when I bought mine. Right and up for reverse is NV, Left and down is G56. G56 is tuff to get through the gate to reverse also, its got a show nuff spring in it.
