IAT Sensor-what size socket?

IAT Sensor-what size socket?
I've got a 2002 and can't figure out what size socket to use. My tool kit isn't the greatest but Fritz's site said 13/16 but it's too small to get over the black female part. I'm going to have to get a deep well but does anyone know offhand what the size is? I'm going to clean it.

13/16" or 22mm DEEP. Ive used both sizes. Would be an idea to check the resistance at different temperatures:

Although, once the grey male connector comes off, there's still a black female plastic plug on top of the hex. The 13/16 I tried got stuck on this , maybe I should have pushed harder?

I agree with Dr. Evil it's a 13/16 deep well socket it remove the IAT sensor.
While your at it you might as well pull the MAP sensor too and give it a quick cleaning too..

I dunno - I use a 12 pt socket - maybe you are using a 6 pt??

Are you guys sure youre looking for the IAT in the right location??

I was using a 6 pt impact socket (not with an impact wrench btw!). Yeah, I've got the service manual and it's definitely the IAT sensor.

1 1/16" but in looking at the manual again, it may have been the map sensor. I'm a dumb*ss. Wife's got the truck out now but will double check later. Anyways, pulled the sensor out but the IAT should have a little module sticking out the other side, no? This one didn't making me think I got the map sensor and didn't look far enough back for the IAT. Sorry to get you all going.

D'OH, ok it was the map sensor I took out and needed a 1 1/16" socket for. At least it was clean. IAT is smaller and further back so I'll take it out and clean it next. Thanks again for your replies.
