Hypertec programmer?

Just wondering if anyone is running it? How is it for the price and what about stacking it with a comp?

Don't waste your time IMO...Gives a little low end but nothing great in my mind. And as far as stacking it with a Comp....Not a very good idea because of the dual timing mods.

I like the smarty never driven one with it but have heard from many how good they are but if you look at the prices thats also another reason i dont want it so thats why I was asking about the hypertec they are much cheaper! I didnt know how good they were or how they would stack with a comp.

The smarty is worth every penny, and is very convenient with stacking because every catcher program has the option of adding or not adding timing. I don't think hypertech offers that option, but I have never owned a hypertech. I know they are not talked about alot and if they are it is nothing but bad things about them.

I have stacked the hypertech3 with a comp and if you don't unplug the map sensor it will act funny when coming off of the go pedal from WOT it idles faster and sloppy but with the map unplugged it was fine. I have been told that this is not a good stack but I didn't have any problems with it and it does add a lot of low end power and a hell of a lot of smoke even with stock sticks
