Hybred turbo??
Can someone tell me exactly what parts go into a hybred 35/40. Also is the exhaust turbine and shaft the same in the HX35 and HX40? The bearings are the same. I am thinking that the hybred is the intake compressor wheel and housing of the 40 mounted on the 35. Is that right?

I'm gonna be going to a hybrid soon.
There are several different hybrids available. The PDR uses a 58 mm compressor wheel, HT Turbo has a 60mm wheel, and Dodgezilla has a 61 mm wheel. PDR has a version that will work with the stock 24V 12 cm exhaust housing. The others use the 12V style housings that have the wastegate actuator mounted to the turbine side and require a new exhaust housing on 24V engines, but most people go with a bigger exhaust side anyway for better exhaust flow.

I love my 60mm from HT Turbo they did a knockout job had good customer service. Even though i didnt get my deposit back, my WH1C got bounced in the mail screwed it up pretty bad, it was not worth arguing about, they were very appologetic and did off set the price some to try and make it right. But that 60mm really made a huge difference, any they were right there helping me tune the watsegate and figuring out my fueling needs to best match the setup.

To add to your confusion, there is a version of the Dodgzilla currently in testing/release mode with a 7 vein 63mm wheel. We've got a couple brave customers running them right now, and they're very happy with the charger. We're seeing slightly better spoolup than we did with the 61mm, and at 350 HP levels, about 50F less EGT than with the 61mm wheel.

Have you put up a thread about it yet? That sucks.
I would nominate you for the "worst luck" award on DTR.

When I blew my motor, I was using 2 gallons of oil every 150 miles.
I had to drive 500 miles. I don't think the underside of my truck will EVER rust..lol Nor, Will I ever find a mechanic who would want to do any work underneath my truck.

We can now return this topic back to it's original subject..... heheh

An HX35 will give you more top end HP and should drop your high RPM EGT's a little. It will also give you the option of changing to even less restrictive turbine housings in the future if you get bigger injectors. If you can find one for a good price, go for it.
