There is a guy locally selling one. Said it came off a wreck 1996 ram. Would this be something worth pickking up for future mods on my truck and putting on the self?? Price is 150.00. Is that a deal? I have not looked into any turbo mods on my truck yet so I'm really clueless. I plan on bumping things up in the spring. Will this turbo help me slide down this slippery slope that everyone talks about faster?

I have a 96 with that turbo. I would say that it's a deal! Turbine housings alone are like $500 or more I think. The size of the turbo is 12cc in case you didn't know. I think the stock turbo on the 93 is much bigger. This HX35w will spool fast and supply good boost up to like 36 psi. You can get more than 40 psi out of it, but I guess you're just making really hot air then. This depends on how much power you're trying to make. 14cc turbine housing are popular, but I don't know if you're going to need that much.

Thats a very good deal; they go for around $300 on ebay and classifieds. It will have a 12cm^2 housing, which will help spool a lot (93 stock was either 21cm "lag-master" or the 18.5cm housing). Also it will be wastegated so you can control overall boost. The stock compressor is pretty inefficient after 35psi, but HTT sells compressor upgrades for the HX35 as well.

The HX35 will be great up to around 275hp, after which the exhaust housing becomes too small and creates big EGT's and drive pressures.

There'll be a blue tag on the compressor housing that says "HX35W".
