I think my blend door is messed up on my HVAC, I have intermittent control of the vents most of the time it won’t change from main vent to defrost of to feet, I just keep getting air out the main vent. The other day it did switch and start blowing out the defrost but I could swear that when there was hot air blowing out the defrost I was getting cold air out the main vents, GF confirmed it to on the way to dinner that night. I haven’t taken my blower off to see if the recirc door is busted but from searching and reading the threads on recirc doors I don’t have a problem with fan speed and my ac is cold and my heat is hot. I think is more a blend door problem and I have no idea where to even start with this one. Anyone have any advice or instructions to help me out. I’m pretty good with a wrench and taking the dash apart doesn’t scare me (I have ratlratl step by step guide for that one) all I need is a push in the right direction and maybe some part numbers if I need to replace stuff.

P.S. forgot to mention I’m going to pull the blower and check the recirc door this morning once it warms up a little so Ill post back with what I find there.

Well just got back from checking the recirc door and it works great. Took off the blower and cycled threw the **** a couple of times and the door would open and close and looks to be pretty sturdy. So it looks like its the blend door. While I was out there I cycled threw the diffrent vent selections and of course when its cool and sunny out the defrost vent works but I bet when I wake up monday to go work and have frost on the windshield it wont work. Anyone have any help on the blend door problem?
