Hunting diagram?

I like most of the 2nd generation owners battle the frustrating 4th gear hunt. A fellow member of the club emailed me this diagram. I am hesitant to start cutting wires to the ECM and PCM. I am hoping one of you have the expertise, the experience, or knowledge to tell me if this diagram is good.

I just want to make sure this is a legit diagram. I can just see the dollar signs rolling if something isnt right.

Have there been any repercussions olddodgetrucks? Any codes?

You might want to start w/cleaning all the grounds you can find first as the least cost option. This is the major cause of trans hunting.

Ive checked my grounds, greased them, tightened them until i had to replace cables, checked other grounds, applied the wire insulator, and still it hunts. Basically everything i can find to do, ive done to stop the hunt.

I am just worried about cutting a wire when i dont know exactly what that wire does.

This is an electrical problem. The APPS is generating too much noise. Get the noise filter from http://www.dieselperformance.com/ind...uct/index/185P

It worked for me.

I did all that stuff and had to put on the Timbo APPS to get running smooth and quit hunting.

Corrison is not just a one time cleaning. Be certain to clean the two point infront below the driver batt, one next to the pass batt and the two ground points by the ECM.

that's about what I did to solve my problem.

I just added the ground wire from the battery to the APPS ground near the connector..

also check the tranny fluid level..
