EDIT: Whoops sorry, didn't even see this forum here. [deadhors]

On another board I post on, I brought up the subject of biodiesel to see who there had any experience with it. One poster said (Post #20):

You can also run it on waste oil. Change your oil and dump it in your tank. I have a 55 gallon drum of delo that will be fuel for my truck. I paid $100 for it, and I let it sit too long and am worried that it has moisture built up now so I will just use it as $1.90 a gallon fuel. If I could find a good filtration set up I would just run waste oil since you don't have to worry about it solidifying like WVO. I also have a good supply of waste oil.

Huh? What's your take on this?

We've covered this one pretty well. Here's a link to the most recent thread:

I would not hesitate to run it in the IDI, and if the cat has on the Dodge has been misplaced you can run it in there too. Just make sure it's not contaminated with other fluids and has no big junk in it.

Sorry yeah I'll search around on it some. I'm not really driving the IDI anymore, going to sell that truck now that I've got the Dodge :) My Dodge...yeah, it came with straight exhaust. So basically just strain it and run it eh? I'll read up on that thread, thanks for the link...sorry for the dup thread!

I'm not saying to go over 5%, I think there's good reason to be afraid of excessive combustion deposits above that level. I only dump in 2 qts a tank.
