Hughes performance tranny parts

Hey guys, I am usally lurking on the first gen topics, but I put a 47rh w/lock up in my 92 and wondering if any of you have upgraded your tranny parts with any hughes stuff. I have a chance to get a billet converter and a complete perfromance overhaul kit with a shift kit for next to nothing... Maybe just some labor trade. So, how does this stuff hold up compared to others.. My other option was to purchase some red alto stuff and a BD converter.

Thanks

I know I looked into hughes for a full transmission, the guy said they make them to hold about 700 hp. It is hard to say because it has not been tested alot in the high hp or medium high hp diesel engines as far as my knowledge goes. I am sure they make some good products because they are renown in the gas world. Its hard to say how good they are because there are not a whole lot of guys running them.

This is just my opinion and I hope it helps a little

Well, 700 hp is a lot for a first gen.. I might have to give a call out there and talk to a tech or something if I don't get much feedback... Thanks

A 700 hp gasoline motor will have about 700 ft.lbs. of torque.
A cummins at 700 hp will have 1400 ft.lbs of torque.
BETTER ask them if it will hold the torque you generate!!!
