Hub Bearing Nut Help
Is the Hub Bearing nut the Nut that holds the rear hub tight to the shaft keeping the inner and outer bearing tight on the shaft that the axle shaft goes through. If so, a manual that I was sent says it take 120 - 140 ft lbs. Thats about as tight as my lug nuts. Doesnt that seem a little tight for the bearings?

Are you talking about the big 1 11/16 nut that sandwhiches the hub bearing and the outer axle shafts. If so than yes they are torqued to that, I just broke my 1/2 breaker bar trying to get that nut off. Thank you lifetime warranty. the nut I think bottoms out on the body that houses the bearing before it starts to squeeze the bearing.
