HTT 62-71-13ss?

I am looking at gettin a htt 62 and was curious how the turbo performs specifically at altitude. Here in Laramie all my driving is at 7000 ft and higher, and I spend a fair amount of time in mountains. Right now all the mods I have are listed in my signature and it might be awhile before anything else major is added. How do you guys think the charger would do for me?

Also, in the future would I be able to run the 62 in a twins setup? That would be the ultimate goal for the truck, but probably a few years down the road.

Thanks,
Alex

Some here might disagree, but I'd recomend a 65 instead of the 71. I have the 62/65/13ss on my truck, & it smokes a little too much for my tastes down low. Spools fast, but doesn't make as much boost down low as the stocker. It gets worse with elevation.

Get the 65 turbine. At your altitude and being you have an automatic that is what i would do. The 71 will smoke way to much if you tow.

Agree with the /65 wheel if: auto, elevation or AZ Summers (hot)

Interesting. I will have to look into the 65 wheel a little more. The 65 wheel is still enough turbo to keep egt's in check running tnt?

I've been running this turbo, & TNT since it came out. I haul a truck camper, & unless I romp it on a steep hill with T/C locked below about 2000 rpm's I can't get it over 1250*. If I do romp below 2000 rpm's I'll get hot real fast. TNT fuels real hard down low, & will build up too much heat for the turbo to catch up with. But I'm sure the only way I'll get that fixed is with twins.

I'm in Belgrade, MT and at 4600 feet and go up from there. I wish I had gotten the 65 instead of the 71 wheel. Yes, the HTT 62/65/13ss would be an excellant top in a twins setup.

I did. The bullet has been on the truck for a few weeks now. I found someone that was looking to trade and go bigger so am I going to try the htt turbo instead. The bullet was pretty dang slow gettin up to 10 psi. Like everyone else says, once it gets to 10 psi it pulls pretty hard. I could have lived with the bullets lag but plans have slightly changed for the truck, and I do not think I will be able to get some of the other mods I had planned on when I purchased the bullet.

Thanks for the input guys.
