hts tranny issues
i have a quick one for you guys with built trannys i am running a dusty built hts tranny all the goodies with a ats 5star converter the question is when i get on it the tranny jumps about a 1k in rpm before it drops back down and goes, when im just putting around town it will jump a few hundred rpm and then go back down. i asked hts and they tell me this is normal but i just dont see it 1k in slippage does not seem normal to me

kind of weird that you have an ats converter instead of suncoast most of the time thats what dusty uses? I would talk to him again and im sure he will help you figure it out. I had an issue and they fixed it didnt try to get out of sending parts they sent another valve body right away

Whats weong with the ATS convertor? I'm running it with my HTS tranny and so far no issues. Na just kidding jwb600 Dusty does like the Suncoast convertor and gave me hell for running the Barney convertor but thats what I already had and he said shouldn't be a problem. 1000rpm does seem a little excessive though. Did you have the stall of the convertor changed?

I have never had anything like that with mine, but I have always had the Suncoast converter in mine. To me it sounds like a converter problem. I am sure Dusty will get it figured out for you.

Ok why did you get a CFM intake there has been numerous threads on here about them failing. My 5 star convertor has worked flawlessly and maybe he was like me and had it already and before he was on the forums. Touchette

i had mine before i got the tranny and from what i have seen alot of pullers run the 5star with no problems, and dusty said since i had it already no need spending more money on another just have it gone threw to make sure there is no metal or crap from when the stocker blew up. i am leaning toward a converter issue its going into a an ats dealer to be looked at thursday a few hundred rpm i can see but a grand is a bit to much to be slipping.
