How's your Commander display in sunlight?
I've had my Commander installed for a couple of days now. It looks fine at night and on a cloudy day. Today was sunny and at times it was hard to read. The display looked olive green with black pixels which isn't good contrast. Putting on sunglasses made it even worst.
Is this typical of these? Looking at Quad's website and the Commander brochure, it shows it with a light gray LCD background. Mine is definitely olive greenish. Adjusting the backlight didn't help in sunlight and I didn't see a contrast adjustment.
So far, I like the Commander and X2 standard. Very smooth power and I can't wait to pull with it. Hopefully tonight I can figure out how to get the tranny lead to reach the test port.

I've had my Commander for a year or so and my background is also a greenish gray.
I've adjusted the backlight setting fairly low so it isn't too bright a night, and I've had no problem seeing it in all light conditons. the contrast seems fine to me.

yep, w/ sunglasses I can't read at all. Mine still turns black on the upper left screen even with the software upgrade a few months back. If I put my finger over that spot, the black goes away??
I'm contemplating getting rid of it myself.....

I have had mine about 18 months. I leave it on the brightest setting all the time, never have had any problems. Mine has grey background and dark black #'s. Something is obviously wrong. Call them and get them to make it right.

Quadzilla didn't send you the special sunglass with your Commander, here's a link where you can pick-up a pair.

When your wearing these sunglasses you won't notices your fuel pressure gauge jumping all over the place.

Well this morning in sunlight and with glasses on, it looked great - grey background with dark numbers. Maybe driving home last night the sun was at just the right angle to make it tough to read.
