Howdy!
Howdy y'all! Im new to this site, but if you've been around RCC, Moparts, or CumminsForum, then you've probably seen me around. If not, I'm 35, and I'm in the Army. I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan. I was in Baghdad for the surge in 2007-2008. I have three Mopars right now, an 09 Journey (for the wife and kids), a 98 CTD Ram 2500 4x4 Laramie SLT, and a 146K mile 78 RC. I bought it from the second owner, and the original owner was his next door neighbor. She was there when my buddy and I put it on the trailer, and she actually cried. I felt sorry for her, but assured her I wouldn't just trash it like a lot of people would. It needs a carb rebuild and some brake work, so I haven't driven it yet, but it's high on my list for when I get back. My wife and kids can't wait, either! I'd like to eventually swap a 4BTA and a 47RH into it, but I can live with the gasser for now. The pic of my Ram is a few days after I got while on leave from Iraq. The second pic is how it looked the day after arriving from Savannah. The LF tire shed its skin at 65 on the way from Savannah to OK, and it did a number on the rocker, door, and took out anything plastic within whipping distance, meaning the front valance, bumper cap, fender liner, and mudflap. I'll be fixing that when I get back, too. I'm thankful my buddy wasn't zoning out when it happened because the truck swapped lanes, and the RC and trailer behind it whipped it all over the highway. I was sure they were both going to roll, but he saved it. Not a good sight in your mirror. I was about 100 yards in front of him in the Penske truck with the Journey in tow, and it sounded like a bomb went off when the tread slapped the truck.
