Howdy from Humble, Texas

Guess I may as well post a HELLO! I haven't even been registered two days yet but have gained a wealth of helpful information from this board. I'm in Humble, Texas just north of Houston and have lived in this area all of my life. I have a `99 3500 Cummins Quad Auto LWB 2WD. Bought it at 6 months old and 21k from my neighbor who wanted a Ford for the full four door and he wanted a 4X4 (He wants it back now . . .too bad) She only has 67k now as I am not far from work and she still looks young in my eyes. Of course as far as mileage (age) goes, the Cummins is still wearing diapers. Aside from a few minor issues, she still runs like new. Anyway, Thanks for having me onboard and am looking forward to learning a heck of a lot more here and meeting new folks.

Thanks for the welcome megacabdad, I think I'm gonna like hangin' out here. Changed my fuel filter the first time myself today from reading the do's and don't's here. Had a scary moment at first because I don't think I "snugged" the top nut enough and sucked some air. Removed the inside bleeder plug on top of cap bumped it a few times. put the plug back and she fired right off. Kissed her on the grill for that. My neighbor wants it back because he says he's only getting 8 mpg but I think he's got an injector problem with that low of mileage. The Waf and I drove from here to Galveston for a fund raiser last Saturday and "Old Truck" was averaging 24 to 25 at 65 mph. Less than 1/8 tank going a total of 138 miles. If I was to tell him that, he would cry.

This is an invaluable resource. Not just for truck stuff either. Good jokes, a little politics, but most of all, good people all over the country. Pretty country where you are at, 20 years ago I almost ended up in Magnolia. I sure do wish I lived down there sometimes!!!!

Don't forget to fill in your sig.
