I don't think they make a 16cm housing thats wastegated unless I'm mistaken. The wastegate on a stock hx-35 is internal I believe and nothing has to be hooked up. Its a simple bolt on and go.

You can run a line from the manifold to get boost but I would drill and tap the compressor housing and put an elbow and a short line to the WG. There is a boss near the comp outlet that is for just that. It's the round spot next to the ID tag. It needs to be 3/8 NPT. Thats how the later modles are done. most 16 are not WG'ed. If you can find a 12 I would go with that. The 94 and up WH1C and HX-35 are the same 56mm comp just connected to the center in a different way. And they come with a 12cm WG housing and will bolt right on.

On an intercooled truck I like running a line from the manifold. Makes the boost pressure the same no matter what the outside temp is. Non-intercooled, do whatever is easiest.

Thank for the info.Well I was told what I had was a 16cm wg housing. Is there a part number to identify it buy. Also wher on the manifold would you hook up the wastegate. And just asking, can you swap the housings on the hx-35 to the h1c turbo.

If it has a wastegate, it's not a 16 cm.

You hook up the wastegate wherever your boost gauge is hooked up, use a tee.

Exhaust housings yes, compressor housings no.

Is there any advantage to the 12cm housing on the h1c turbo.Or would I be better off with the hx-35.And are these housings worth anything,I have an extra 12cm wg housing.

I just like to hook it up at the comp housing to keep it easy. I like the 12cm, spools faster. you can look inside were it bolts to the manifold and it will have the size cast into the wall. If it has a WG it is not a 16 just like Dave said.
