im thinking of making some traction bars for the old dodge (^^^). ahave good mechanic skills and im confident in my welding so i know that i can make them. does anybody have any specs on how the built theirs or how they would build theirs.

Would be curious what others have done as well.

But i was thinking I might try it with some 1.75 Dom tubing about 60" long. To a shackle type joint ( don't know what it would be called but picture it in my mind) i would run two tubes obviously but bend one to save as much ground clearance as possible.

here is what i did, i jot some centerlinks for a tractor @ john deere, cut in half and extended them, then made a plate for the bottom of the u-bolt plate, ran the u-bolts through the plate, then made brackets front and rear, and welded up

im thinking of doing something similiar to this, being adjustable is always a plus. i think i need 1/4" wall tubing and then the adjustable end links
