Holley Blue

Ok I'm looking at the Holley Blue to run with my carter LP. Does it matter that they not for injection systems? And the Holley page says nothing about using it with diesel? I have 4 teenagers 2 of which are in collage, so going with one of the high priced systems are out! Any ideas on how this will work out? I've replaced the LP and VP within the last 8 months and don't want to do that again anytime soon..... thanks

i was thinking about replacing my LP with the holley, but not sure how my pressure would be at wot.it's rated 110gph at 14psi.the black pump is 140gph at 14 psi.
i also had the holley blue pump on my firebird and it was loud.that also might have been due to the fact i was regulating it to 7psi

Been told they were loud but they can't be any worse than the Cummins!

I installed a Holley 'blue' pump about 4 months ago after having 2 campaign LPs die in a 6 month period. Whoever came up with the stock LP design was on serious drugs...With a big line kit my fuel pressure never dips below 15 psi. Yes, they do make noise, but you only hear it before the engine starts!

I just bid one on. Will probably be getting in touch with you for the spring adjustment.

The reason they say "not for injected systems" is that if you run one of these pumps at the high FPs needed for fuel injection (40psi and higher) then you will burn it up. They just aren't strong enough for that kind of load. They are designed for low-pressure carbureted applications.

With an appropriate bypass regulator, the Holley pump should last a long long time and you'll have FP that won't move an inch!

OK I've got the pump. Now I've decided to use 3/8 hose from the tank to the IP. What size fittings do I need to get? I'm assuming that they use metric. The rest I can figure out.
