holley blue pump system...who has it?

when i floor it on the extreme setting, every now and again i get a POP out of the tailpipe. a few ppl told it this was from running a straight pipe, but i am pretty sure i am getting a dry fuel rail. i have read up on the walbro and FASS, but am having trouble finding info on the holley blue pump setup. i heard that bullydog has a kit similar, but has anyone made it themselves? after the issues i have had with my BDDL, im kinda leary of BD. thanks

i have the same, bully dog big fuel (holley blue) with the vulcan bigline kit also. i see 24-25 psi @ idle.
its cheaper to get a holley and vulcan big line kit and do it yourself.
the bully dog is over priced big time.
vulcans #360 713 1549 eric, super nice guy, will answer all your questions.

The walbro pump is actually cheaper than the holly blue is. Both my brother and I had holly blues on our 2nd gens and they worked fine for a while then the pump that I had started slowly dying till i could pull fuel pressure down to about 3 psi. If your wanting to do it cheap get the walbro pump instead of the holly blue and find all the fittings and hose you need. Thats what im going to do. I had something like $160 in the holly blue system. You should be able to do that with the walbro too. Also the its easy to make your own big line kit just get the fittings from Glacier Diesel that go into the fuel filter, out from the filter, and then into the CP3, then just get some diesel approved hose and your done.Joel

I didnt use one at the time. The holly doesnt produce the same pressure as the walbro does.

This has been discussed in great detail before and with great debate. My opinion of the Holley Blue and Red pumps is that they should remain on carburated vehicles as thats what they were designed for. When used for our applications they are maxed out pretty much all the time and they aren't meant for that type of duty cycle. Heck, the Holley Blue was advertized as a "STRIP ONLY" type of pump, not meant for everyday, all day use. Get a Walbro for about $110, and fab up a bypass at the cp3 for a couple dollars worth of hose and be done with it. Or get GDP's kit.
Now I know there's guys out there running Holley's carb pumps with success. And I know they're gonna bash me. I don't care. The truth is the truth and those pumps ain't meant for our trucks. And I've used many of them in the past on my cars... Even have a few in my garage as I speak.
