Holes Or No Holes?

There are many different ways to do this. Obvously, if you can get more air in your airbox, the better it is. I cut a 4" hole in mine, and put a piece of PVC elbow in it, with a piece of screen over the opening.

It won't hurt it. The air still has to run through the filter it just allows more of it to come in there. About the only bad I could think of is if you had a warranty issue with your turbo and the dealer saw those holes then they'd try to make an issue where truthfully there was none.
