On highway, truck stumbled and died.
On my way to MT last week, truck stumbled and died. I turned the key off and back on to hit the lift pump. Just a straining noise coming from the pump. Then I hit it with the flashlight and it started humming right away. bled the air from the filter canister and the truck fired right up. Weather was snowing at about 32 deg. air temp, at night. Could it have frozen up? I did change the sender in the tank a few weeks earlier- could it have been a bit of dirt clogged the vane in the lift pump? This was about 1000 miles ago and temp has been colder since then a couple of times. I have been using Power Service at every fill up. Oh yeah...now I have code 0230-Transfer pump Circuit Out Of Range
What do you think?

It's possible that the lift pump motor is giving up on you. That code will set if the circuit goes open, or high resisitance (corroded connection).

Mike, stop by the next Cummins shop and get a spare pump. Be sure you carry the tools necessary to change it out.
Just in case.
