Higher power fog lamps FYI
The fog lamps in my 2002 are 896's and they are a very dim 37.5 watts. There is a plug-in direct replacement. Use 894's. They are 50 watts and are quite a bit brighter. No problems after a week of night driving. Seems to handle the extra current and the extra heat fine.

Great suggestion.....Are you talking from the dealer or aftermarket? Price?
Thanks,
Ken

Been running them for a few years now and haven't had a problem yet. 8) I even have me set up to stay on with the bright lights, just to add a little more candle power.

Re:Higher power fog lamps FYI
Turned my plastic lenses yellow, and eventually cracked the covers on my '98.5. They need replaced now.
I used 50watt (from the 37.5W) upgrade bulbs. I actually put some blue bulbs in the truck, and those "50watt" bulbs were better at controlling heat (probably because they weren't 50W's) than the AutoParts store real 50Watt lights. But, then again, plastic lenses don't seem to last too long down here in the Tx sun and heat. My headlights running Factory wattage blue Bulbs (which are rather dim BTW) turned blue after prolonged use.
(I don't use windex, or any type of glass cleaner on the lenses)
Just my $.02

Re:Higher power fog lamps FYI
I just replaced the 50watters in my fog laps, and found that the driving lights had 50 watt bulbs also, wally world had the 100 watt bulbs for the same price, so they went into the driving lights, MAN what a difference, on the high side, mine are KC lites, that came on the truck new, the fog lights are even brighter at night.
