High Idle Gone

This morning, I started her up then realized the dog was still standing in the back yard waiting to be let in. I went to do the high-idle thing - Cruise On, Set.......nothing happened. Turned the cruise off, turned it back on, set, nothing.

Question - I had the 18-003-06 flash done recently. Does this over-write the high-idle enable?

Not a big deal since I don't do long idling very often - just frustrating.

the flash will reset the high idle feature "off", you'll need to get it turned back "on"

Happened to me too when I went in for the recall. When they fix the ABS, they also flash the computer. I also had them do the smooth shift flash TSB as well. Regardless, when they flash the computer, that setting is lost unless they reset it again. I had them turn on my key off/power on option while they were turning on the high idle enable.

What's the "Key off / power on" option. I'm hoping this lets the radio, power windows, etc. operate for a few minutes or until you open a door.

Not on an 05... The settings have to be done using the Starscan tool which does not work on the 05.

Sorry... at least that is what he service tech (who has an 05) told me.
