High Beam is the pitts

Either I am getting old or the lights on my new truck on high beam are next to useless. Does anyone here know what the brighteset I can get that I can just screw one out and the new one in ? Or maybe a link to a company I can buy them from? Tried my local auto parts dealer here in Canada and the guy looked at me like I was speaking Greek or some other out of the world language. Also be nice if there was a brighter back-up light to screw that could be changed Thanks folks.

Mine are the same way. It seems they have them aimed way to far out there. I've heard you can get an option enabled at the dealer that will keep your fog lights on with high beams.

I'm happy with these. Your local parts store should carry them.

Thanks, I sent him an e-mail. On his site he only lists up to 2002 for Dodge trucks. See what he says when he gets back to me. Thanks again.

Brite box makes an amazing amount of difference. Fog lights, upgraded to high beam element now stays on and low beam stays on so you get about 4x the output of your normal high beams. Solid path of light from bumper to as far as you can see. Just a fraction less light than my wifes xenons, but well worth the $ for the box.

My 2006 lights were pointed so far down the road that nothing short of a 747 landing light would have done anything. Try some Silverstar Ultras (cheap at Can. Tire) and give the lights an adjustment (do this yourself because a dealer will say they are fine)

I've only had my '07 for 1.5 weeks. However, I've found that my stock headlights are far better than my '07 Ford co. truck.

I would like to go with some Silverstar Ultras, but the problem is, they don't make them for '07 yet - H13 bulbs I believe. So, for now I'm stuck.

I wanted to get the ultras, but they didnt have any,, what is the difference between the utras and the regular silverstars, I was looking at the pics on the display rack, and I couldnt see a difference. Also, for anyone that has installed the britebox, was it difficult? I am going to do it today,, havent even looked at the directions yet

Where did you get the brightbox from Kevin? When I emailed Geno's, they said there wouldn't be one out for trucks with daytime running lights until the spring.

I'm real curious to see how your installation works out now. Let us know if it works. Thanks.

I got mine from Genos,, it was sure expensive, but excellent service, duty killed me on that one.. Im not sure how they figure out duty, but it sure dosent seem to be based on dollar value. I paid over 60 bucks duty on that unit. BTW Geno's had the best price by far on the unit.

Working? Low beams staying on when you flip to high beams? Any change to your daytime running lights?

I just got it done, seems to be awesome,,not a very dark night tonight, but everything works as advertized. The install was very easy, the worst part of the install is the instructions, way easier than what the instructions lead you to believe

Hmmmm. Maybe it's an '07 thing that Geno's was telling me about. Here's the email they sent back to me:

Thank you, Joel.

Kerry, it looks like there will be a solution for your truck in the Spring of 2007.

Happy Holidays!

Robin,

Sorry for the delay in responding, our internet service has been intermittent due to a blizzard and then 17 below temperatures!

We are currently developing a smart circuit for Canadian DRL circuits.
Realistically, this will not be available until sometime next year as we have to commit our resources to building product for the holiday rush.

Of course, when the product is available, you will see announcements and pricing.

Take care,

Joel Toy
