Do the relays for sure......
Just did 6k's on my dad's 05 and the relays made a big difference over plug n' play.
especially on a 1st gen, do the relays.
12k ?? thats crazy, you're gonna have a purple light down on the road.

If you are talking about true HID's then no relays will be needed. You can do it if you want, but they make their own power and draw very little. If you are talking about filament(spelling?) bulbs then you'll be wise to install relays. What watt's are they?

The way I understand the HID's is they dont have much draw when they are on but the start up is the problem. They draw a lot more amps when they are first turned on.
The wires on the lights are not worth much, I would rewire the lights and do the relays, even if its just to take the load off the switch. If you have looked at the ground wire on the headlight socket then you know what I mean.
I love the HID's in my car but it is factory with the projectors so the light goes where it is supose to, I am interested in how these lights work out for our trucks and if the light scatters to much and blinds people.
