HID head lights

i'm thinking of going to HID headlights, should i run relays with them too? what are good brands that sell HID kits? its a sport model so i know il need 9007 kit and 9004 kit. what are the fog lights on the sports? can they be converted to hid too?

thanks

I called this company Flashtech directly and bought their 6000K 35Watt kit. Comes with everything you need for plug and play. I need to play around with aiming them....I do get the occasional high beams flashed at me. I think I paid around $275 for the kit. I couldn't be happier....they are brighter than my buddies 09' BMW

most HID kits are plug & play just make sure there the newer kits with no ignitor. The do make HID bulbs for fogs, they got bulbs for everything now.
Color temp. is the measured in K the higher the number the less light is emitted the lower the number the more light is emitted. I run 6000K bulbs which are bight white with a hint of blue like the BMWs. 4300K is the whitest 12000K is more purple then white. Check the web lost of info on HIDs.

WOW you guys are spending WAY to much on your kits. I got HI-LOW both in HID and the fog lights in 500K for around $120. BOTH ARE GREAT!!!!

BMW could've made them brighter (or in other words "aimed higher") if they wanted to. But they thought about safety first.

You need to have projector lights to run HID's without blinding oncoming traffic.

Did the garage test....Both side by side with lights aimed at the garage door.

Not the most scientific way, but mine were visibly brighter.

agree on running HID's in projectors only . . .

now on the garage door test - were your lights actually 'brighter', or just 'whiter' . . .

hmmm. that i don't remember, but the lights i have give off more of a blue hue than white.

i did the test in california, so i'll have to find someone with some hid's down here in missip.

i do have the same hid setup as 'haloman'. his pics portray the lighting well.
