Don't freeze there back home guys. I flew outta Regina on Sunday morning. It was -38 when I left and I landed in Calgary and it was -6. Sorry to have to tell you guys that it's warm here in Alberta....[laugh][laugh][laugh]

Cool, gota be a few of us here, (Arborfield -- not far from Nipawin) should try and get a beer and dyno day together. And no kidding it's been a cold MO-FO the last month......
I have checked this Sask site many times and no activity. When I don't check it for a month and a half Scotty comes on and wants to get something started. I am interested.
I live between PA and Saskatoon.

I'm from Gull Lake in SW Sask. Been into my Cummins addiction for 10 yrs now. Still got my first two CTD, actually my brother has my 1st. Got my two trucks kinda to where I would like but I like to keep modding oh well.

Hello, I am in Regina, I didn't know this forum existed until just now. I have been a member of this site for over a year. I've even posted a few threads regarding winter issues, before I bought my truck....1st diesel. Should have just posted them here, but from what I am seeing, not too many people check this forum out. I will keep a better eye on it from now on.

If you want more regional info or help just send a pm to someone and they will more than likely lend you some advice. Andes2 get yourself a smartyjr and your truck will run like it should. Best mod on my truck. Run 0w40 all year and even put a pan heater on it (I have a 100w glue on one) if you like instant oil pressure.
There are a few DTR members in Saskatchewan. We are a quiet bunch. Not nearly as active as our neighbors to the west.
Must have our noses to the grindstone to much!!!

I plan on getting Smarty jr. in future....just got my guages installed 2 weeks ago. If I could only get my hands on some cash without the wife knowing, my Smarty would be here. I was thinking of the oil pan heater as well but was trying to determine what wattage or even if I need one. My truck is garaged overnight and I don't always have a plug during the day at work. I did change to 0W 40 on my last change. Has anyone tried one of those circulating coolant heaters? I used to have one on my first car years ago and I really loved it.
If you are in the cold (and I know Sask winters get that way) and can't plug in, get an Espar or Webasto. The best upgrade you can do to one of these things. Especially in places you can't plug in. Never had a worry about my truck not starting in the winter thanks to the Espar. Fairly easy to install, just time consuming. But I think dodge has the kits specific for the 3rd gen, so its probably not even all that time consuming.

Scotty just saw your post in the introducing new members.
Since you started this at the start of the year, time to dredge it up for the end of the year.
