I need as many pro's and cons on which box i should get. I do some towing(10,000lbs.) and want to know which on to go with? The more opinions the better.. That was a good answer to his question.

You can't go wrong with either in my opinion. They both make good power and are both adjustable on the fly. They both have built in safety features and they both act as a set of gauges to monitor things. I guess the only thing that I know of that would make one stand out above the other, is that the quad can be updated online.

I have the X2 and have no complaints. I run the 45 or 65 hp when towing and 100 hp empty and 140 for having fun.

Fixin to stack it with Smarty as soon as it gets here.

You guys kill me with the whole smarty thing. He didn't ask about smarty. He asked about two specific products. You guys stick the smarty in there like is the best solution for every application. Guess what....it's not, at least not for everyone. He has a pretty stock truck - stock turbo, etc. He mentions he pulls 10k. So let's say he's towing along and comes to a pretty big hill and his egts start to rise higher than he would like. What are his choices? 1. back out of it and go up the hill at the speed of the old 1995 gasser truck next to him, or 2. pull over and load a new smarty setting. With either of the two controllers he actually asked about, he simply reaches up and bumps the setting down a number and keeps right on chugging. An adjustable controller is much more friendly to towing than a downloader.

yes omaharam you are right. although the smarty is an incredible product. I love mine but for his applications I vote for the X2 due to the fact that it is upgradable online very easily, and the customer service is out of this world. Go with quad if you ask me. you can always add the smarty later if you want. especially if you already have the gauges. good luck on what ever you decide.

Thanks omaha. I just sold my smarty,loved the power,but the inability to adjust on the fly made me sell it,not to mention i don't want to spend a bunch of cash on my tranny right now. Keep it coming!Justin

I hace Juice/Attitude. This is my third truck with it, ...1 second gens, and now on my 04.5. I love it, and they have great cust service if it ever messes up.

This is exactly why I traded my smarty for the juice with attitude. Loved the smarty, but for day to day driving\towing without a built trans, I felt the juice\att. was a better option for me. Plus I like the fact it does timing\duration and not pressure. Just my preference.

Just curious does the Juice/Attitude do EGT defueling? For me it wasn't to hard to get up to 1400 with the X2 on 100 hp on WOT runs.

Yep it sure does. Set it at the temp you want to defuel at and it does the rest.

The egt backdown will not be instant on either product. If you set your defuel at 1300, when the 1300 is sensed by the module your egts are climbing very fast. The module will defuel as soon as it sees the 1300, but temps will go past that for a moment until the defueling catches up. The amount of fuel that was being called for before the module defueled is still on it's way to delivery in the cylinder. So a 1300 setting may result in 1400 or a little more for a second as the temps spike and fall back off because the fuel was cut.
