Hey Guys...Help Me Help US
Hey guys, I got asked to be in a focus group for 3/4 ton and 1 ton owners that have owner 3 or more in the past 10 years. I will be in this focus group tuesday Aug. 26th. Its is 5 hours long and is supposed to be a forum on what we want out of the big 3 in the 3/4 ton 1 ton market from price and leasing/buying options to very specific vehicle needs. Here's my point. Can we get our heads together to get a consensus about what we want me to present? I would love to bring in pages of printed talking points. This group is relatively small (less than 10 people so far) and should a great way for us to tell them what we and and need out of these trucks. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

5 hrs is not enough time to list all the wants...
Of course every want has a price to it... and the number one want is lower price...
Seems like a paradox.
More power, more reliability, more quality, better fuel mileage, more comfortable to drive...
Those are generalities I know...

everyone has things that they'd personally like (less injector problems, better quality paint/interior, mega cab long box, more reliable u joints, etc.), but i think the most important thing right now is a truck that doesn't have the CEL going on every other day and has to go back to the dealership weekly for emmision issues related to the EGR, DPF, and clogged turbo.
as it stands today, most CTD owners i know won't even consider purchasing a 6.7.

Of course mpg is gona top most lists.
I personaly would like to make sure the standard trannys stick around and a 7spd would be nice. Other than that I am a fan of a straight axle front end, and an inline motor.

I won't complain, my ac bows pretty good now since i did the mod, but access for future reference would be nice, A/c s will eventually fail, and it shouldn't have to be a pull the whole truck apart deal to get to it.
