Help from the wise ones :)

Ok, so I have the truck in my signature and I am looking to get it up to the 450-500hp range now. I was wondering what the most cost effective way is to do it. I know I need a tranny first and a fuel pressure gauge so those are in the works now. (I am still torn between ATS and DTT)
Anyways, I have searched and read lots and from what I gather, it may be wise to go with a B1 turbo, and EDM 2.5's or Mach 3 injectors? I also would like a Scotty Air II and was wondering if that would work with a bigger turbo.
My ultimate goal is a truck with lots of HP that is a reliable, daily driver, can race on the weekends (empty) and tow 10,000 lbs occasionally without a huge EGT problem or fuel delivery problem.
I also plan on doing something to make the vp44 last but I am not sure what. I have read so much about adding a Holly pump and larger banjos and larger lines and was wondering if there is a kit to do all of that.
I am not concerned about smoke (I actually think it looks way cool) but would like to keep EGTs in check and I hate huge turbo lag. I would like to avoid O-ringing the head and wouldn't be opposed to twins to reduce lag if I could do it for reasonable cost and keep the boost down within head gasket tolerances.
Anyways, advice on all of these issues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, in advance, for your time.

I don't know that I qualify as a wise one.

With the size of tires you are running and the list of what you want to do with the truck I think your best bet would be to o-ring the head and run a small set of twins. With the tires that you have any single turbo is going be very laggy.

I am just over 500HP with an HX35/16 and BHT3B/26 twin set up, Bully Dog 4 ijectors, Edge Drag Comp, Holley Blue lift pump, upgraded lines, and an o-ringed head.

The fuel system I am using is in the classifieds.

A small set of twins would be your best bet. That or a ksb1 but I don't know how much power that supports.

Are you still running stock gears?

Yes, I have stock gears and I Love the RPM range I have. I tow with OD off so I can still hold a good speed in 3rd without really high RPMs. I also cruise down the freeway (most of what this truck sees) empty at around 1600rpms doing about 78mph.

DU

Sent you a PM. Let me know if doesn't come through.

FWIW, I looked hard at adding other fuel pumps until I got the Wildcat Max Flow Fuel System. It protects life of Lift pump and supplies all the fuel I need at 400+ hp. Can't pull it down below 8 psi at WOT and TST PM3 set on #9. Was the least expensive way to go and is an excellent solution, IMHO, to LP problem.

Twins would be nice-but you mentioned "reasonably priced" so probably not going to be unless you fabricate them yourself. With auto tranny you need a quicker spooling turbo-love my KSB-1B; very responsive, very strong and Lots of air to handle any size injectors. I get 45-48 PSI boost, depending on PM3 setting.
