Help, Truck died why I was driving!!!!!
Ok guys, I need allot of help, I just put a new full pump on my truck, I was at gas station and my truck wouldn't start. I then shot it with ether it then fired and ran (i let it idle for a while), I at that point started to head home. I was runny around 50 mph, it just died and it will not start or even fire with out ether.
It acts like the engine isn't getting fuel. So I pulled the fuel line at the injector pump it was pumping fuel to the injector. What could it be.......
The year is a 02, No I don't have a Fuel gauge, I replaced the pump with an aftermarket holley that is what was on it. The old one started to fail.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? Why did you replace the lift pump? And if you're seeing fuel when you crack an injector line, it depends on how much fuel you're talking about. The LP can push enough fuel through the VP to look like you're getting fuel. Given what you just described, if the engine shut down like you turned the key off then the VP probably failed electronically. But be sure by checking all the fuel system fuses and relays first although its most likely the VP. The VP's computer has lead free solder which is not tolerant to high heat and deteriorates over time causing it to short. Thats why its critical to have a good high volume aftermarket fuel pump that can pump at least 15 psi all the time.

First of all it would help if we knew what year your truck was.
Sounds a lot like an electrical failure of the injection pump but the first thing to do is check the engine codes. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on the truck ? Why was the fuel pump changed ?

Sorry the year is an 02, no fuel pressure gauge, I replaced the filter and pump last week, the pump is a holley that is what was on it. It started to fail. I did hook it up to a computer and it didn't throw any codes.
