My 2005 2500 CTD 4x4 was parked since late October. When I moved it a couple of weeks ago, there were 3 seperate oil leak spots on the floor of my garage. One relatively small spot to the front of the motor (was black motor oil), the second was a much bigger spot a little to the right and back of the firts spot again this was black motor oil and the third which was to the right rear of the engine compartment was gold oil. I did not have the time to crawl under and look for tracks as we had to drive a long distance in a hurry.

In any case my DW took the truck to the dealership out of town and they claim that there are no leaks. I am right now away from the truck and cannot perform any visual inspections.

I did check all the oils up front and all were within range.

Any one on the forum have any ideas what can be possibly leaking? The smal spot of black oil near the front was may be 5 square inches in area, but the bigger one was maybe 2 sq feet in surface area and the clear gold oil spot was may be a sq ft.

Once I get back, I will park it over clean paper to mark the exact spot of the drips.

I have a small amount of oil that comes out of the engine vent hose . Wind flow while driving spreads the oil to different locations . The oil will drip on the front diff and make it appear to be leaking . Check your Cp3 pump on front driver-side of engine for leaks . On my leaking Cp3 , I would have fuel drip off the cam-shaft sensor wires .
