Coopers have always had a good rep and they are made in the USA. I passed on the Nittos' and got a set of four Dean M/T's for under a grand, so far so good, they hunm a little but the traction is way better than the highway ribs I replaced as was expected. All four of your choices are good ones, I try to support US co's.

i was pretty set on the hankooks until i found a good deal on the dura grapplers
anyone have pics of 285s of the duras? how do they compare to michelin m/s?
ideally i would like the atr's, but they are a D rated & would like to have an E rated tire... my pro comps are D rated & at times they look like they are going flat because of the sidewall
BTW, i am going to buy tomorrow

FWIW Discount Tire price matches web prices. Confirm this at your local store before making your final decision. So, I picked a tire, printed tire rack price & bought local with a lifetime balancing. Ended up with Yokohama Geolander but I don't go off road (intentionally).

I had a set of terra grapplers on my wife's dually. They lasted all of 28k miles. 4 where past 3/32 when I traded and 2 at 5. Not a chance on earth I will every be purchasing them again. Close to $1300 for tires that lasted less than 30k. That's with 3 or 4 flats and ratations at 5-6k.
If you like spending money on tires, they ride nice, low noise and had descent light offroad characturistics.

Whatever tire you decide on get it siped. Well worth the $10 or so per tire.
More info on siping http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/tireSiping.dos

i am running terra grapplers and love them. as far as siping, i wouldn't do it. my dad got BFG's and had them siped....long story short, he has about 20,000 miles on them and only does lite off roading and is missing quarter sized chunks out of the tread. a good tire will have siping in it. If I had my choice on tires i would go with Goodyear Silent armors, I put them on my ol' f-150 and tried to do donuts in a parking lot and gave up cause they were biting too good to do a decent donut. just my 2 cents.
