Help With Rear Seats And Sound System
OK so all my last trucks were SUV and i had sweet systems in them all...my fav. sub i ever owned was the 12" W7 and i think i want to put one in my 99 quad cab... only problem is all the boxes they make for under the seat are for 2 10s which would be fine except non of them have the depth for a higher end sub...so i searched and searched and said screw it. i would cut the center of the bench seat out and but a sub box and mount my amps there which would be sweet!...now I'm thinking ill just take the seat out and try to find little captain seats to mount on the left and right...now DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND LITTLE CAPTAIN SEATS THAT HAS A SIMILAR DEPTH AND HEIGHT OF THE CURRENT BENCH SEAT??

I've seen on here putting spacers between the seats and the mounts, to raise it up some. Might be the way to go until you are sure you want to cut it up, or get different seats. With the amount of room in the back of a QC, I think going with a set of captains chairs would leave no leg room, unless you had them facing each other, like the jump seats in the older Fords.

you should be able to make or buy a box that bolts exactly into the seat cushion area under the center counsil. (need to remove ceter seat seat)
are you ECab or RCab?

I made a fiberglass enclosure that housed a pair of 10" Eclipse TIs for under the back seat of my 98. I took a lot of mocking up but when it was said and done I had to raise the seat 3.5" and still could only come up with 1.6 cubes per and that's not really ideal for any of the high excursion woofers. That said it was way to much bass anyway for the small cabin of these trucks IMO. I would suggest you look into a custom box with some good 10" drivers like Image Dynamics/AVI etc that are designed for smaller enclosures and power the hell out of them, I'm sure they will meet your expectations. Remember that a speaker is designed to work in a specific enclosure so you need to get the one that suits your enclosure, or build to fit your speaker. If you just plunk a sub into any old box you will be shurley disappointed.

If all you have is a single W7, why not use JL's stealth box? It replaces the cusion part in the middle of your front seat and is built for their subs? I would think a single W7 with the right power would shake the wax out of most folks ears.
