Help! Quad XZT Standard install and adjust.
I just installed my new Quad XZT standard module on my early year 2004.
When I turn the key on it goes through the normal LED diagnostic to verify I have the correct modlue. The problem is I installe dthe moudle but the Commander is on back oreder. How to I manually adjust the the level one 40HP power with the just the module? Right now it is on RED the 100 HP and I wont run my truck on that setting. The website says you can choose three settings without the Commander but the directions don't say how LOL

The Quadzillaraider XZT is a 65hp module that is non adjustable unless you have the new recon remote or Commander. If you do have one of those you can adjust 20,40 or 65. If you have a Qaudzillarator standard then I am sure that there is some way to manually adjust without the remote. You can go to www.Quadzillapower.com and download their instructions. Good Luck, Tom J.

The website says that you can choose a power setting on the module without the commander. The instruction inside the box say nothing and the PDF in structions on the website say to install the switch witch is not in the box? Quadzilla really needs to clarify the instructions and or its marketing. I am not going to start my truck in the 100HP setting and want to switch it to the 40HP setting that Quadzilla says it can do but doesnt say how anywhere.

look dude, your naming two different modules, do you have the XZT or the standard?
relax, they have the best customer service, heck I don't even have a product from them yet and I know they have great customer service. relax, your in good hands.

To make it simple look on the side of the module itself and give me the part number or heck the serial number.
The part number will start with a "D". From there I can tell you what you can or cannot do.

Hello
I have the Zillaraider DXZT That’s what it says in the box. In the manual it says XZT standard not race. When I placed the order I said I wanted the XZT that you could adjust without the Commander because it is back ordered and I want to use the chip on the Power level 1 setting until the Commander comes in.
From the manual
No LED = off
Power Level one 30HP Green LED < This is what I want
Power Level two 60HP Orange LED
Power level three 100HP RED LED < What it’s on now
For the standard module
When I turn the key on the module goes to red and according to the manual for the Standard Zillaraider XZT that is 100 HP
From the website PDF manual it says the same
From the website marketing description it says
Level 1 20hp
Level 2 40hp
Level 3 65hp
I could live with the 65 hp setting while towing with no gauges yet (commander back ordered) but not the 100Hp setting as indicated in both manuals

Ok
I think I see the problem. If the website overview is corrrect then the power level is fixed at 65Hp until I receive the Commander that will unlock the other levels. My concern however is that the website is not correct and the manual that I have is correct and that the current RED level is 100Hp not 65Hp

thxman,
Quadzilla has 3 different modules for our trucks:
XZT
Standard
Race
Without the Commander or Recon the XZT is non-adjustable at 65 h.p. With the Commander or Recon, it becomes a 4 level module with 0, 20, 40, and 65 h.p. settings.
The Standard and Race are 4 level modules and come with a switch to adjust the levels if you don't have a Commander or Recon. With the Commander or Recon theres no need for the switch.
Based on the information you supplied, it sounds like you have the XZT module. Until your Commander arrives, it is stuck on the 65 h.p. setting.
The 65 h.p. setting is pretty safe, by the way. I'd hook it up and run it, just take it easy until your Commander arrives.

The manual covers all of the modules. If you notice the power ratings are for the Standard and Race modules as the XZT is a fixed horsepower module.
RED= 65hp on the XZT.
You will be perfectly fine until the Commander arrives!

Hello,
Thanks for clearing up the confusion, when I saw the red light and looked at the chart in the manual I was a little confused. I hooked the module up and took my truck for a drive. The truck seemed like it drove a little smoother but I was driving it like a granny. One thing I did notice was the engine noise (valve train) was a little louder. I will see how it does towing with my new 8,000k toy hauler and will report back. With out the Commander that is B/O and no gauges. I will be pushing the fuel pedal like there is an egg below it so I am not so sure how accurate the report will be. One thing I do want to say is that Larry here at DTR has unbelievable customer service. The guy is a walking CTD encyclopedia and he called me 20 minutes after I e-mailed him at 5:20 PST, that’s 8:20 EST where he lives; can you believe that!!!!!!!!! Let me tell you right now I will be purchasing all my mods from DTR even if this Quad doesn’t work out. Sure I could have acquired my module for exactly $5 cheaper from a un- authorized source on e-bay but Larry is the real deal and a hell of a nice guy. I really didn’t care after I talked to him if it would have been $50 more, I was buying from him. I am a newbie and this is my first modification purchase from a dealer. I am a small business owner and value my clients and my reputation more than the mighty dollar, Larry appears to run his business in the same manner witch is a rarity in these fast paced secular driven world we now reside in.
Thanks for the help,
Ray

I wouldn't even think twice about running the truck normally with the XZT. I have the Quad standard & for the little towing that I do at 60hp setting, my egts are about 75-100* cooler than without. As they say drive it like you stolen it! Enjoy your new found power, I know that I do

Yep, Lary is awesome, and his prices are hard to beat, even on items not listed on his webpage! So, whatever it is you need, give Lary a call first.
