On my truck and that thing wonders a lot. I have been trying to look for a duel Steering Stabilizer kit for my 2001. I cant find anything. Now what I saw on ebay was they only have a single and as soon as it goes to a 2003 and up you can find a dual. Do they not sell a dual for the 2001? My truck is the one on my sig. if anybody can help me with this I would appreciate the help.

I think defiant does, I think it's defiantproducts.com otherwise you'll just have to look them up. They are pricey though just a pre warning

Have you considered another steering alignment? I know that my truck model is different to your, but on mine I discoverd that if the alignment is not perfect, that it does wonder a lot. As yours is a 4X4, specifically check the track of the front axle.

adjusting tire pressure would be on my list of things to try. go up in 5 lb increments, then back down to find the sweet spot. too much pressure and they will be rounded to the road, prone to wander instead of track straight.

I'd do an alignment first before I did anything. That's a lot of tire and a lot of leverage working against you and the road.

kool. I will check the pressure on them for sure tomorrow. and I think the alignment might be a little out. There was a time when I had the old tires that it was pulling to the right it has not done that anymore since I put new tires. I will check the pressure in the morning and then go from there. I saw the sky jacker one after I put the post and I might go to 4 wheel parts tomorrow and see how much I can get it for. I am looking at spending no more then $200.

The Thuren Stabilizer is 265 from his website. And that is with a FOX shock which is rebuildable. I would rather have this for 265 then pay around 200 for a dual setup with normal shocks that will wear out. I'm sure the Fox will outperform the standard duals and last quite a while before needing a rebuild so it is very cost effective. I ordered one yesterday.

I would check the track bar. My jacked up 2001 goes thru track bars alot. you can get them from a u t o z o n e with a lifetime warranty

I steering stabilizer is just a patch fix, "if" everything is ok in your steering it shouldn't wander to much. That being said all wide tires will follow the road imperfections a lot more then narrow tires. I've had a few off-raod trucks, one with 15.5 wide tires and they suck on old pavement.

Thanks guys for all the input. I am going to start with the cheapest thing first and then we will go from there. I will tell you this as soon as my dad put them on his truck with his 39's he had a better ride on it. We will see what I do with mine in the next few days.

I have 12.50's on my truck and it has increased the bump steer a lot. Its a lot of work to keep the truck in a straight line on the highway and its tiring after a few hundred miles of it.
I installed the skyjacker dual unit and its helped a little.. but the bump steer is still there for larger ruts and 'waves' in the paving because the shocks respond to fast pulls, not slower ones. The shocks need damping adjusters to be effective. Im thinking about adapting some of my old rancho 9000RSX shocks. The valving will probably be a lot different though =(
